Aaron Dyer is the President of Dyer Consulting Group.  With his passion for and experience
in helping clients become more successful in building their businesses, Aaron brings over a
decade of proven financial, business development, strategic planning, sales and marketing,
and management expertise to his customers.   

Aaron has worked for several major financial institutions, including Wells Fargo, CoBank and
Alpine Bank, where he worked hand-in-hand with his clients to create more profitable and
productive enterprises.  He has a strong portfolio of success in building and managing these
business relationships that resulted in significant growth for his client companies and with
the companies he has worked for.   During each role, the most rewarding and interesting
aspects of these positions was the ability to work closely with the business principals and
to help them achieve their goals and objectives.  This passion for helping companies
improve their business and create value compelled Aaron to found Dyer Consulting Group.


While at Wells Fargo, Aaron demonstrated a continued understanding of small business and
middle market companies’ credit, cash management, investments, and benefit
circumstances in order to fully leverage the many services Wells Fargo provides their
clients.  He was the point of contact for each relationship in his portfolio and worked on a
daily basis to understand all aspects of their business and business processes.  The goal for
each relationship was to better position each client for success by leveraging the multiple
products and services that a major financial institution can provide.   


While working for CoBank, Aaron led a successful team of Portfolio Managers, and was
responsible for the development and execution of the Team’s strategic plan.  This included
developing business planning processes and marketing plans focused on expanding
marketing efforts in order to increase growth and profitability.  Aaron was instrumental in
the restructuring of the Division, which created a significant increase in new customers,
total loan commitments, and successfully penetrated markets where the company was not
active.  Aaron also helped to create and implement a training program for new hires to help
integrate them into the Division more efficiently and quickly.  


Aaron was also responsible for the management and growth of a loan portfolio with a
commitment size of $450 million.  He built a loyal client base by paying attention to client
needs, managing expectations, and developing a strong understanding of their business and
a sense of what his customers needed.  He took this familiarity of his customers business
and industry and created presentations and proposals for CEO/CFO level contacts that were
instrumental in helping these clients meet their sales and growth initiatives.  He also
worked closely with his customers to successfully plan and execute comprehensive on and
off site strategic planning sessions including organizational assessments, growth strategies,
developing financial projections and analyzing optimal capital structure and then assisted in
presenting the results to the Board of Directors.


Aaron started his career at Alpine Bank in Grand Junction, CO, where he specialized in
helping small businesses generate opportunities for growth as a small business lender.  
There he started to understand his role in helping companies achieve their strategic plan
initiatives by getting into the details and understanding every aspect of their business.


Aaron has an MBA from the University of Colorado and a BBA in Finance from Mesa State
College.  Aaron is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants, Southern California
chapter.  

In his free time, Aaron enjoys traveling, golf, tennis, and following his hometown Colorado
sports teams.
